Service Description

Children have unique needs in therapy due to their still developing cognitive abilities. They require more than just talk therapy to address their mental health needs. Expressive approaches are incorporated including Psychotherapy Incorporating Equines, Play Therapy, including art, music, and movement (such as dance). “Wendi’s Playhouse” offers an opportunity for children ages 3-11 to heal from trauma and other mental health struggles. Children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder who may have difficulty with traditional play/expressive therapy often benefit from the bi-lateral stimulation that occurs in riding horses.
